Transactions Volume 74 coming soon 

The latest volume of Transactions is in production and will be distributed to members in November 2024.
This year’s cover is a reconstruction by Peter Jackson of the early 17th-century buildings at the western end of Fleet Lane in the City of London. Follow the link for a list of the volume's contents.

John Stow Memorial Service John Stow Memorial Service

The 2024 Stow Memorial Service is taking place on Monday 22 April. It will start at 4 PM at St Andrew Undershaft Church, St Mary Axe with the replacing of the quill at Stow's memorial. It will continue at the Merchant Taylors Hall, 30 Threadneedle Street with the Stow Lecture from 5 PM. The lecture 'Pageants and shews: civic ceremonial in the time of John Stow' will be given by Tracey Hill, Professor Emerita of Early Modern Literature and Culture, Bath Spa University.


Local History Conference 2023 Local History Conference 2023

The 57th Local History Conference will be held on the 18th of November 2023 at the Museum of London Docklands. 

The conference will focus on the history of animals in London.

CoLAT CoLAT 'History in my Place' Grants

The City of London Archaeological Trust has launched a new grant for young people interested in London archaeology.
CoLAT is awarding students in Year 11 and Year 12 small grants for projects which seek to understand and share knowledge of London through archaeology. Applications must be made to CoLAT during September or October 2024 up to half-term. Further information can be found here and here.
